The Reus City Council and the Department of Education have announced a restructuring of the city's school map for the 2026-2027 academic year to correct student distribution imbalances.

The main change involves Pompeu Fabra School, which will move from Zone A to Zone D. This adjustment aims to support an area that previously had fewer public centers and faced significant pressure during last year's enrollment process.

"The adjustment was made to correct imbalances detected during the first year and ensure a more equitable number of public school places."

In addition to the zoning changes, authorities are working to reduce classroom ratios in I3 (preschool) from 20 to 17 students per class to enhance educational quality across Reus.
