Reus City Council has announced a traffic calming plan for Pintor Fuster street, which includes the installation of 19 speed cushions to reduce vehicle speeds.

The intervention responds to residents' complaints regarding the use of this road as a shortcut to the T-11, where speeds of up to 85 km/h have been recorded in a 30 km/h zone. In addition to the speed reducers, lanes will be repainted to reduce the sense of width, and bollards and mini-roundabouts will be installed.
The project, with a budget of 38,827.31 euros, also includes works on Salou Avenue and dels Velers street, in front of the Pastoreta football field. The goal is to deter heavy vehicle traffic and improve safety in an area that handles over 4,000 daily trips.
The works have a five-day execution period and are expected to be completed before the end of 2026. This measure aims to protect the Fortuny, Mas Ferrer, Lledoners, and Juroca neighborhoods, where truck traffic has been a constant concern for residents.
