The fair, which originated in 2019 in Castellnou de Carcolze, within the municipality of Pont de Bar, now relocates to Arsèguel, remaining in the Baridà region. This strategic decision follows access and parking issues experienced last year at the previous site, reached via a narrow five-kilometer local road from Banys de Sant Vicenç.
According to Joan Moliné, an organizing member, the fair's format will largely remain the same as previous editions, but activities will be consolidated at the Parc d'Arsèguel. This venue regularly hosts large events such as the renowned Trobada amb els Acordionistes del Pirineu, ensuring optimal operation.
The response from the 12 artisanal cheesemakers exhibiting has been excellent, with all participants from the previous year returning and one new addition. The local gastronomic offering will be complemented by stalls selling honey, jam, bread, wines, cavas, and craft beer from the local firm El Gall Negre.
FiraCarcolze will uphold its founding mission of promoting Pyrenean products, enhanced by musical and cultural activities designed to boost the host municipality and the entire Baridà region.
