The Reus City Council managed a total of 4,989,920.88 euros in rent subsidies during 2025, a figure that represents a historical peak for the municipal housing service.

The annual report highlights the intense activity of the Housing Service, which processed 3,366 applications. Out of these, 2,253 residents received favorable resolutions, surpassing the four million euros managed in the previous year.
The increase is largely attributed to the Youth Rent Bonus, which covered both 2025 and 2026 periods. This specific program allocated over one million euros to support young people in finding affordable housing.
The largest portion of the funds was directed towards citizens over 36 years old, totaling 2.4 million euros. Additionally, senior citizens saw 306 applications approved, amounting to more than half a million euros in direct aid.
