The Christmas campaign in Reus has been deemed a success, solidifying the city's position as a regional benchmark. Key elements included the special lighting and attractions like the Advent Calendar in the Plaça de la Llibertat, which saw the accumulated participation of approximately 3,600 children.
Regarding mobility, municipal car parks registered a slight 1% increase in daily rotation, serving 7,202 users. However, overall pedestrian traffic saw a negative variation of 4.7% compared to the previous year, mainly attributed to adverse weather conditions and rainy days.
The average daily visitors stood at 54,480 people, with a notably higher flow between the Plaça del Mercadal and the Parc de Sant Jordi, which increased from 63,000 to 109,000 visitors.
Tourism data was particularly positive. The Gaudí Centre experienced a 16% increase in visits, reaching 2,384 people, with 35% being international visitors. Hotel occupancy reached an average of 80%, with full occupancy on New Year's Eve, highlighting French visitors among the foreign audience.
