The Reus City Council has announced the creation of four new park-and-ride lots that will add 749 free spaces to facilitate the implementation of the Low Emission Zone (ZBE).

The municipal strategy aims to encourage drivers to park on the outskirts and complete their journey on foot, by bicycle, or via public transport. Mayor Sandra Guaita emphasized that the goal is to surround the city with strategic parking zones.

"This action is part of the municipal strategy to wrap the city with parking spaces around the urban center."

Key projects include the new parking lot on Comunitat de Múrcia street and future developments in Jardins de Reus and Mas Iglesias, the latter providing 300 spaces near the Bellissens station by 2026.
Additionally, the Dyna industrial estate will host the city's first industrial park-and-ride lot with 220 spaces. Councilor Josep Baiges noted that this will improve business competitiveness by easing worker commutes.
