The Diputació de Tarragona has finalized plans to expand the CEE Alba special education center in Reus, allocating 2.8 million euros for a project set to conclude in 2027.

Construction is scheduled to begin in September following the tender process this February. The project includes a new 957-square-meter building that will house additional classrooms, a multipurpose hall, and improved accessibility features for students from Baix Camp and Priorat.
Sustainability is a key focus, with the new facility featuring photovoltaic solar panels and a connection to a biomass heating network shared with the nearby Boca de la Mina Innovation Center.
