The city of Reus has inaugurated a new sculpture dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, located at the foot of the Prioral de Sant Pere.

The figure, promoted by the Association Amics de Gaudí de Reus and designed by sculptor Joan Serramià, portrays Antoni Gaudí in his role as an architect. The work depicts him sculpting the facade of the Santuari de Misericòrdia in plaster, a technique common among architects of the era.
The sculpture, comprising a 1.9-meter-high bronze figure and a stone base, was made possible through the collaboration of stonemason Joan Mateu and the Ginfer foundry.
The unveiling ceremony drew dozens of attendees eager to witness the reveal of this new artistic piece that now enriches Reus's heritage.
