The Archbishopric of Tarragona and the dismissed board of the Reial Congregació de la Puríssima Sang in Reus have ended negotiations without reaching an agreement.

The talks aimed to find a minimum consensus to coordinate Holy Week events. The Archbishopric proposed focusing on the 2026 celebrations, but congregation members demanded the revocation of the October 2025 decree.

"Despite the efforts, the desired agreement has not been reached."
