The president of the Tarragona Provincial Council, Noemí Llauradó, presented the institution's star projects, including the new operational headquarters in Plaça Imperial Tàrraco and a new auditorium in Reus, during the annual breakfast with the media.

The goal of the Tarragona Provincial Council is to transform its operational headquarters in Plaça Imperial Tàrraco into an “iconic and functional building”. The competition to select the design closed on January 15, with the participation of ten leading architecture studios. The contract, valued at 700,000 euros, covers the drafting of the basic and executive projects and the construction management, with works expected to begin in the autumn of 2027.
The current palace located on Passeig de Sant Antoni will be designated as the institutional headquarters, retaining the plenary hall and political group offices, in addition to hosting the Modern Art Museum (MAM).
Another key project is the creation of a new auditorium in Reus, resulting from collaboration with the Reus City Council. This infrastructure is designed to serve the territory and the metropolitan area, although Llauradó did not reveal the location, stating that “it may not be in a municipal premises”.

"It will be an infrastructure that will serve the territory and the metropolitan area, capable of hosting major musical events."
