The Forn Huguet bakery in Reus unveiled its latest chocolate Easter creation on March 20, featuring the Geganta Mora, a beloved character from the city's traditional festival parade.

This tradition began in 2009 with the Mulassa figure. This year's piece, handcrafted by designer Manel Llauradó, stands 30 centimeters tall and weighs 500 grams. It features a blend of three types of chocolate and intricate pink and gold details to match the original giantess's attire.

"Choosing the Geganta Mora was a pleasure as it only required five pieces to assemble, though finding the right pink shade for the dress was a challenge."

The presentation in Reus was attended by Mayor Sandra Guaita and the President of the Tarragona Provincial Council, Noemí Llauradó. The event served as the symbolic start of the Easter season in the city, featuring traditional dances by the Colla Gegantera.
Visitors to the shop on Alcalde Joan Bertran street can also find figures from previous years, such as the Víbria or the Lleó, which are reproduced annually due to popular demand.
