The Mossos d'Esquadra and Riudoms Municipal Guard arrested two men aged 42 and 43 this Thursday, March 5th, following the discovery of a large marijuana plantation in Riudoms.

Police officers seized 456 plants during the raid on a property located on Sant Antoni Street. One of the suspects had a significant criminal record with seven previous police entries.
The indoor farm was equipped with professional lighting and gardening tools. Investigators also confirmed that the electrical system had been tampered with to bypass the meter and sustain the high energy demands of the crop.
The operation involved units from Reus and local officers. The suspects are currently awaiting their appearance before the Reus Court to face drug trafficking and electricity fraud charges.
