The Greenway Platform of Cambrils, Mont-roig, and l'Hospitalet demanded an immediate construction schedule this February 26 to transform the old railway tracks into a sustainable mobility axis.

The project, awarded over two years ago to the company ACSA, remains stalled. Activists warn that the current degradation of the area is unacceptable and that failing to complete the greenway would be a historical mistake for the Baix Camp region.

"The track cannot remain a dead end; losing this greenway would be a historical error."

Nuri Nolla, president of the Cambrils Station Neighborhood Association, expressed fears regarding the Next Generation EU funds. Delays in the lease agreement between Adif and the Mont-roig del Camp council could jeopardize the financing due to strict deadlines and rising costs.
While Mayor Fran Morancho remains optimistic about negotiations with Adif, the platform is increasing pressure. They have scheduled a public protest walk for March 7, starting from Miami Platja, to demand concrete commitments from all administrations involved.
