The incident was reported at 06:17 AM this Saturday, concerning a fire located at the back of an industrial building situated on Carrer de l’Alcalde Pasqual in Reus.
The intensity of the flames, according to the Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters), was so high that it caused the near-total collapse of the roof of the affected structure.
Due to the proximity of several residential homes behind the warehouse, emergency services requested the preventive confinement of local residents as a safety measure.
A total of 17 Fire Department units were deployed to the scene and are working hard to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to inhabited areas. No injuries have been reported so far.
