The Riudoms City Council signed the agreement on Thursday to join the Landscape of Geniuses, the cultural itinerary connecting the Costa Daurada and the Terres de l'Ebre through the lives of four artists, now highlighting Antoni Gaudí.

The Plenary Hall of the Riudoms council hosted the signing of this agreement, which will allow visitors to discover the origins of the architect Antoni Gaudí through various spaces that marked his trajectory in the town. Riudoms already has a wide structured offer, including the Gaudí Riudoms route, the Plaça de l'Arbre, and the Gaudí sculpture.
The Casa Pairal Gaudí, which belonged to the grandparents, father, and Antoni Gaudí himself starting in the 18th century, is one of the central points. This simple and austere building preserves the period atmosphere, offering a journey through time to relive the sensations the genius experienced during his childhood.

"The entry of Riudoms into the Landscape of Geniuses coincides with the Gaudí Year 2026 and represents another step in the promotion of our municipality."

Ricard Gili · Mayor of Riudoms
The mayor of Riudoms, Ricard Gili, highlighted that this adhesion adds to the inauguration event of the Gaudí Year held in the town last November and the renewed momentum of the Fira de l'Avellana (Hazelnut Fair). For her part, the president of the Diputació de Tarragona, Noemí Llauradó, emphasized the economic support and promotion provided by the entity for the itinerary, stressing its artistic, cultural, and landscape relevance.
With the incorporation of the Riudoms route, the Landscape of Geniuses now features five interpretive routes and six museums and cultural centers. These spaces highlight the connection of Antoni Gaudí, Joan Miró, Pau Casals, and Pablo Picasso with the landscapes of the Costa Daurada and the Terres de l'Ebre. The centers include the Gaudí Centre in Reus, the Mas Miró in Mont-roig, and the Centre Picasso in Horta de Sant Joan.
