Ten injured, two in critical condition, in multiple accident on the AP-7

The crash occurred on Wednesday evening at kilometer 279 of the motorway, near Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, involving up to eight vehicles.

A multi-vehicle collision involving eight vehicles on the AP-7 motorway, near Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, injured ten people on Wednesday at 8:25 PM.

The accident was registered at 8:25 PM on Wednesday at kilometer point 279 of the AP-7 southbound, within the municipality of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant.
The collision involved up to eight different vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and a truck. The causes of the incident are being investigated by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police).
The casualty count is ten injured people. Two of them are in critical condition and one is in serious condition. All three were transferred by the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) to the Hospital Joan XXIII de Tarragona.
The remaining seven injured individuals were treated at the scene and discharged in situ. Due to the incident, the motorway had to be closed southbound for a period, causing traffic jams and mandatory diversions via the A-7 near Cambrils.
