The Health Department of the Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant City Council has organized a free weekly cognitive stimulation workshop, starting on February 17, for individuals with mild cognitive impairment.

The activity will take place weekly at the municipality's senior centers starting February 17. Specifically, the Casal d'Avis de l'Hospitalet de l'Infant will host sessions on Tuesdays, while the Casal d'Avis de Vandellòs will do so on Thursdays, both during the morning hours.

"This workshop aims to be a support resource for both the participants and their families."

Esmeralda Saladié · Health Councillor
The main objective of the workshop is to offer an active and safe space where different cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, language, and orientation are worked on. The goal is to maintain these abilities for as long as possible through games, practical exercises, and group dynamics that foster socialization.
The activity will be led by the City Council's Health Coordinator, Rocío Delgado, and is supported by the Primary Care Center of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant (CAP). CAP professionals will also offer occasional talks to families regarding the care and support of participants.
