The PortAventura Foundation held its 15th charity dinner, raising 115,150 euros with the support of approximately 1,200 attendees.

This year's proceeds will be equally divided between the foundation's flagship project, the Dreams Village, and the Josep Ferran Foundation. The latter, based in the Terres de l'Ebre region and operating throughout Catalonia, focuses on teaching and research in oncology.
The funds allocated to the Josep Ferran Foundation, amounting to 57,575 euros, will be used to establish a specialized pediatric consultation for complex chronic conditions and pediatric palliative care at the Verge de la Cinta University Hospital in Tortosa. This consultation aims to support families before, during, and after the diagnosis of serious illnesses.
The remaining 57,575 euros will go towards consolidating the PortAventura Dreams Village, a program offering free stays at the resort to children and young people with serious illnesses and their families.
Rosa Ripollés, president of the Josep Ferran Foundation, expressed her gratitude, highlighting the PortAventura Foundation's sensitivity in assisting children facing complex situations. Ripollés emphasized that cancer involves more than just diagnosis and treatment, encompassing pain and distress, and noted the need for funding for their thirteen research lines, as public aid is often insufficient.
A notable moment of the evening was the auction of a sculptural piece by artist Joan Serramià, crafted from elements of the renovated Dragon Khan roller coaster. The event also featured various performances and screenings detailing the work of the PortAventura Foundation, alongside a raffle for attendees including hotel stays, a trip to Senegal, and product hampers.
Josep Andreu, in his first charity dinner as president of the PortAventura Foundation, mentioned their ongoing initiatives, such as the Fun Run, to increase visibility, which he noted is a challenge. With this year's proceeds, the total amount raised from charity dinners has now reached 1.89 million euros. Since the foundation's inception, approximately 10 million euros have been distributed to over 100 social entities, and they are currently seeking more partners.
