The initiative follows the expiration of a previous file a few months ago. Local owners, supported by the Col·lectiu Ronda legal group, claim that the Spanish Government has ignored all previous technical objections. They argue the plan represents a significant threat to the Ebro Delta's productive soil.

The deadline for submitting objections is February 27. Documents can be filed at the Deltebre City Council or online. Critics state that incorporating farmland into the public maritime domain does not solve the real issues of coastal erosion or soil salinization.
