The establishment was operating without any administrative license and failed to comply with mandatory protocols for the treatment of hazardous waste. To avoid detection, the operators kept the shutters down and parked vehicles awaiting repair on public streets, attempting to remain unnoticed by neighbors and authorities.
During the inspection, agents found professional machinery, including hydraulic lifts, compressors, and various precision tools. Four vehicles were found inside the premises undergoing repairs. The investigation revealed that those involved had previously been reported for similar activities in a district of Tortosa at the end of 2023.
Waste management was completely absent, with industrial oils and solvents posing a serious environmental risk. Authorities have processed the corresponding reports for industrial safety violations, lack of business license, and irregular management of hazardous waste.
