The initiative, known as TOCA’M Social, aims to bring piano music to hospitals and geriatric residences in the city, recognizing music's fundamental role in social cohesion and individual and collective well-being.
Starting this edition, the festival integrates into the Apropa Cultura program, a platform that since 2006 facilitates access to cultural activities for people at risk of social exclusion or with disabilities, emphasizing culture as a right that dignifies and normalizes inclusion.
The TOCA’M Social program includes collaborations with various entities. Workshops will be held with the Fundació Tutelar Terres de l’Ebre and the Associació Trastorn Espectre Autista Terres de l’Ebre. Additionally, piano music therapy sessions will be offered at the Associació de Malalts d’Alzheimer de les Terres de l’Ebre, led by 'Singular, Música i Alzheimer'.
Workshops will also be conducted for users of the Fundació Mercè Pla, specifically at the Centre Ocupacional de Campredó and the Llar Residència Icària de Jesús, where they can enjoy live music and interact with the instrument.
Finally, the festival will bring concerts to hospitals and geriatric residences in Tortosa, such as the Hospital Verge de la Cinta, the Hospital de la Santa Creu de Jesús, and the Sant Miquel Arcàngel diocesan residence, for those unable to attend the main events. The Associació Atzavara-arrels will also collaborate with activities for children, fostering interculturality and social cohesion through music.
