The Expoebre fair in Tortosa, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, will feature a new electric tourist train and receive a 75,000 euro grant from the Diputació de Tarragona.

The Remolins exhibition hall will host the Expoebre fair in Tortosa from April 30 to May 3. One of the main attractions will be the exhibition of the new tourist train, which has recently arrived in the city and is inspired by the old Carrilet that connected Tortosa with La Cava. Visitors will have the opportunity to see this vehicle up close before it enters service.

"It is a 100% electric train that recalls the old Carrilet, built by the Lleida-based company Ilertren Tourist Train, and which we now have here to complement the Green Circuit of the Walls project and the upcoming reorganization of the entire riverbank, where there will also be one of the containers for renting electric bicycles."

The Diputació de Tarragona has contributed to this special edition's celebration with a 75,000 euro grant, a gesture that the Tortosa City Council has publicly acknowledged. To commemorate the fair's 80 years, a documentary has been produced and will be screened during the event.
The fair's program includes a variety of activities for all ages, as detailed by the Councilor for Tourism and Fairs. The inauguration will be led by the president of Paradores. Additionally, the Ferris wheel, a 30-meter high attraction, will be reinstalled. The focus on live music in the evenings and local gastronomy, with free tastings in the Ebretast area, will be other highlights. A Life Day is also scheduled for day 2, dedicated to the elderly.

"satisfaction of the Provincial Council to be able to collaborate in a reference fair throughout the territory, and in this very special edition we had to participate."
