The executive commission of Junts per Tortosa has officially called for a primary process to designate the mayoral candidate for Tortosa ahead of the May 2027 elections.

The process will conclude on May 27 with an extraordinary assembly. According to internal regulations, party members will be able to cast their votes in person, choosing the most voted candidate to lead the electoral list.
To be eligible for nomination, candidates must have been party members in Tortosa for at least six months. This vote is considered a key step in the group's strategy for the next municipal term.

"The primary process is very important to us, because, unlike other parties where decisions are made from Barcelona, at Junts per Tortosa it is the members who have the final say and make the decision."
