The Catalan Government held the institutional International Women's Day event in l'Ametlla de Mar, encouraging younger generations to dismantle gender stereotypes in the workplace.

Students from the Candelera Institute read the 8-M manifesto, which highlighted the need for female role models in all professional fields. The event also honored the history of the feminist movement in Catalonia since the 1970s.

"Many girls lack role models and believe they might never reach the profession they like most."
