The Mossos d’Esquadra reported a 35-year-old man on January 23 in Tortosa for attempting to pass the theoretical driving test using a mobile phone and a hidden camera.

The defendant was caught by officers just as he was about to start the written test, carrying a mobile phone and hidden headphones. This fraudulent practice was immediately detected by the examining staff in Tortosa.
According to the police report, the goal was for a second person, located in an unknown location, to visualize the exam in real-time. This was achieved using a small camera that the examinee had concealed under his clothing to receive the correct answers.

The complaint may result in the offender being banned from taking the driving license exam for six months and a financial penalty of 500 euros.

These types of infractions are considered serious by the General Directorate of Traffic and aim to guarantee the integrity and security of the necessary tests to obtain a driving license throughout the Catalan territory.
