The writers from Tortosa, Marta Pulido and José C. Altava, are launching their science fiction novel Líbera, which will be presented at the Marcel·lí Domingo Library in Tortosa next Wednesday, April 8, addressing themes such as female empowerment and social inequalities.

The novel Líbera, published by Onada Edicions, uses the science fiction genre to explore contemporary social and cultural issues, such as women's empowerment and class disparities. This work marks the literary debut of the authors and begins its series of presentations in the capital of Baix Ebre.
The plot of Líbera transports readers to a future where a colonized planet is governed by women, who have abandoned a declining Earth. This new world, called Líbera, is presented as an idyllic place where technology has solved social problems. The story follows Joana, a wealthy young woman who, after being arrested and imprisoned, begins to question the darker aspects of the system.
Written collaboratively, Pulido and Altava's novel goes beyond space adventures, proposing a reflection on the battle of the sexes, the excesses of power, hedonism, and the contradictions of what was once envisioned as utopian. Marta Pulido Lozano is an entrepreneur in the telecommunications sector, known for her creativity, while José C. Altava Prada is a teacher specializing in digital and audiovisual technologies and passionate about fictional worlds.
