The Museu de l'Ebre in Tortosa will host the exhibition Paisatges Creatius. Terres de l'Ebre starting next Thursday, June 11th, a project exploring the relationship between the river, contemporary art, and education.

The project Paisatges Creatius. Terres de l'Ebre is coming to the Museu de l'Ebre with the aim of transforming the river into a space for learning, memory, and collective imagination. The inauguration will take place on Thursday, June 11th, during school hours, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
This initiative is supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ministry of Culture, as part of the Culture and Education Program. The project connects public schools, contemporary art, and the territory through participatory workshops, showcasing the results of an artistic and pedagogical process that views the Ebre River not just as a natural or geographical element, but as a living archive of family stories, environmental transformations, bodily experiences, found materials, and possible futures.
Participating entities include the ZER Riu Avall (comprising the Escola La Pineda de Tivenys and the Escola Bítem) and the Institut Escola Daniel Mangrané in Jesús. Artists Marta Vidal and Antònia Ripoll have worked with primary school students, with the collaboration of Josep Mª Balagué. Meanwhile, Gemma Ginovart has collaborated with 5th-grade students from the IE Daniel Mangrané.
The collaboration with the artists has enabled the exploration of the river as an open classroom, a sensory space, and creative material, utilizing field notebooks, photographs, recordings, drawings, cyanotypes, printings, collages, and assemblages. Students have explored memories and concerns about the river, imagining its future through scenic proposals and shared pictorial creations, filmed on the Riu Ebre in Tortosa.
The exhibition will feature field notebooks, photographs, recordings, drawings, cyanotypes, printings, collages, assemblages, collective painting, and scenic documentation, highlighting the creative process and the school as a cultural space.
The exhibition Paisatges Creatius. Terres de l'Ebre can be visited at the Museu de l'Ebre (Tortosa) with free admission. The inauguration is on Thursday, June 11th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Opening hours are: Saturday 13th (11 AM-2 PM and 5 PM-8 PM), Sunday 14th (11 AM-2 PM), and Monday 15th (11 AM-2 PM and 5 PM-8 PM).
