The Tortosa City Council has started the Treball als Barris employment workshop in Baix Ebre, focusing on the maintenance of municipal sports facilities and historic landmarks.

The program began on February 9 and will run until October 31. Ten participants are gaining professional experience in gardening, painting, and masonry while improving public spaces such as the Sant Joan fortifications and various local sports centers.
Subsidized by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia, the project aims to facilitate labor insertion for residents over 30. Key locations include the Remolins and Temple pavilions, as well as the Tenasses Castle.
