The Tortosa City Council has introduced A Coffee with the Mayor, a new initiative by Mar Lleixà starting on February 27th to foster direct communication with local residents.

This project aims to move municipal governance beyond official offices and into the streets. By meeting in small groups at local cafes, the Mayor intends to create a relaxed atmosphere where citizens can share their proposals, complaints, and specific needs for the city's development.

"It is a new proximity initiative that aims to open a direct communication channel with the citizens to encourage active listening."
