The Tortosa City Council has announced the return of the Rider 1000 motorcycle event on May 23rd, an international non-competitive gathering that has already secured 2,000 participants.

Organized by Motoclub Manresa, the 14th edition will use the Remolins Trade Fair Pavilion as its headquarters. This year's event features a blue theme as a tribute to the Ebro River and coincides with the club's 80th anniversary.

"From our city, different routes will allow participants to explore the Terres de l'Ebre and neighboring territories, positioning Tortosa as a tourist destination."

The event offers four distances: Rider 1000, 700, 500, and 300 kilometers. Routes will cross the Terres de l'Ebre towards Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, and the Valencian Community, featuring a new double starting podium to improve flow.
Local authorities expect a significant economic boost, following the 2022 edition which generated over one million euros. Hotels in Tortosa are already reporting nearly full occupancy for the dates surrounding the event.
