The incident occurred when the car collided with the roadside barriers, leaving the vehicle in a precarious position. The Generalitat Firefighters received the alert at half past five in the morning and dispatched three units to the scene.
Upon arrival, the emergency personnel secured the vehicle with a winch to prevent it from falling into the canal. After assessing the injured person inside, they extracted the individual through the trunk.
The Catalonia Medical Emergency System (SEM) activated three ambulances for medical assistance. The affected driver, with less serious injuries, was treated on-site and subsequently transferred to the Hospital Universitari de Tortosa Verge de la Cinta for medical care.
