The Tortosa City Council has revalidated the Infoparticipa Seal 2025, awarded by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in recognition of its excellence in transparency and public communication, achieving 98% compliance with the indicators.

The mayor of Tortosa, Mar Lleixà, collected the award this Tuesday, which certifies the local entity's good communication practices based on quality and transparency criteria. This edition marks the twelfth time the council has received this distinction, maintaining the previous year's score.
Tortosa's municipal website has complied with 53 out of the 54 indicators evaluated by the Infoparticipa Seal, despite the addition of two new criteria compared to the previous edition. The award ceremony took place in the auditorium of the UAB Rectorate, with the presence of the university's rector, Javier Lafuente.

"The re-issuance of the Infoparticipa Seal is a recognition of transparency and the quality of public information, because we work for a City Council closer to the citizens."

The Infoparticipa Seal is an initiative of the ComSET research group from the Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication of the UAB, in collaboration with the Infoparticipa Association. The Tortosa City Council has obtained this seal uninterruptedly since its first edition in 2013, with the sole exception of 2018.
The evaluation for the 2025 edition was carried out between January and February of this year, analyzing 54 indicators covering the quality of public information and accessibility for citizens. The specific score obtained by Tortosa was 98.15%, surpassing the results of previous editions.
The Infoparticipa Seal indicators are structured around five fundamental questions: the identification of political representatives, the management of collective and economic resources (budgets, salaries, contracts, subsidies), general information about the municipality, and tools for citizen participation.
