Begur is preparing for a new adventure combining mystery, fun, and discovery of the municipality. The playful and interactive proposal, driven by the Culture, Tourism, and Youth departments, will transform the town's streets and spaces into the setting for a grand enigma game. The initiative, which will be permanently installed and completely free, is designed for both citizens and visitors to discover Begur in an original, participatory, and entertaining way.
The official presentation will take place at Plaça Esteva i Cruañas, from 3:30 PM to 6 PM, on an open day for everyone. To celebrate the launch, participants can enjoy hot chocolate with ladyfingers. Additionally, three prizes will be awarded to the teams with the best scores, and a prize draw for a package containing all 'Escape the Town' experiences will be held.
'Escape the Town' proposes a mission to prevent mysterious time knights from stealing representative objects of Begur. Participants will need to test their ingenuity, observation skills, and teamwork by solving enigmas and overcoming challenges to uncover details about the municipality's identity and heritage.
The activity can be undertaken for free using a mobile application, without the need for reservations or adherence to specific schedules. It can be tackled individually, as a family, or in teams of up to four people, and will be permanently available, expanding the municipality's leisure offerings.
The Councilor for Youth, Manel Vallès, highlights the commitment to promoting proposals that connect entertainment with knowledge of the local environment. "We want to offer a different and fun way to experience Begur, especially attractive to young people, but also designed for families, groups of friends, and people of all ages to enjoy," he stated.
Vallès also emphasizes the permanent nature of the initiative: "The most interesting aspect is that it's not a one-day activity, but a new leisure proposal that will be available to everyone." With this new experience, the Begur Town Council expands the municipality's leisure and discovery possibilities.
