The president of the Baix Empordà Regional Council, Enric Marquès, presented a new strategy this March 2026 to establish a cultural hub coordinating regional assets.

The initiative, discussed at the Brava creative factory, seeks to combine the efforts of local governments and private companies. This project follows two years of strategic planning involving towns such as Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Palafrugell, and la Bisbal d'Empordà.

"We are a powerful region in terms of culture and we must be even more so."

A key component is the creation of a unified digital cultural agenda to provide a single point of information for residents and visitors. The plan also addresses the shortage of technical professionals in the sector by promoting specialized training programs linked to regional employment groups.
