The Begur Town Council has opened the call for the 16th Poster Contest to select the official image for the XXI Fira d’Indians, scheduled for September 4, 5, and 6, 2026.

This edition of the fair, one of the most emblematic cultural events in the Baix Empordà region, will revolve around the theme “Mar i vela” (Sea and sailing), focusing on the historic maritime voyages that linked Begur with the Americas. The winning proposal will receive a cash prize of 500 euros.
The well-established contest invites artists and creators to participate with freedom of technique. Submissions using illustration, photography, collage, painting, or digital creation are accepted. A mandatory condition is that all submitted works must be original, unpublished, and presented anonymously.

With this contest, Begur reinforces the involvement of citizens and the creative sector in the visual construction of the fair, an event that gains presence and participation every year.

The deadline for submitting works is April 10 at 2 PM. Proposals can be delivered both physically, mounted on foam board, or digitally, via the VisitBegur web form. Physical submissions must be made at the Begur Tourism Office.
The jury's verdict will be announced on April 24 at 7 PM at the Casino Cultural, concluding the selection process for the image that will represent the municipality's great Indianos festival.
