A fire broke out on Sunday night in a squatted warehouse on Rentadors street in Palamós, requiring the intervention of eight fire crews and the evacuation of all residents.

The Fire Brigade, Local Police, and Mossos d'Esquadra responded to the emergency. Upon arrival, the fire was heavily developed in two rooms. Inside the building, firefighters managed to rescue a turtle kept in a tank before the flames spread further.
The building has been declared unsafe due to a high risk of collapse. Residents were allowed to retrieve some belongings but have been informed they cannot stay overnight. Preliminary reports suggest a heater may have triggered the blaze, though investigations continue.
