Extinction teams are working to stabilize the right flank of the wildfire in Les Gavarres, an area where preventive lockdowns remain in place to ensure the safety of residents.

The Firefighters are in a critical phase to contain the fire's perimeter. The main objective is to prevent the flames from spreading towards Girona, a scenario that could lead to significant damage. Although the right flank has not advanced significantly, the sea breeze continues to hinder extinction efforts.
So far, a preliminary assessment has detected damage to five buildings located within the affected perimeter, specifically in the urbanizations of Calonge and Santa Cristina d'Aro. Emergency teams continue to assess the condition of areas where access is still restricted.
Furthermore, the closure of the Les Gavarres massif remains in effect for around twenty municipalities. This restriction, which prohibits all sports and leisure activities, is supported by a surveillance operation involving various security forces and forest agents to ensure compliance.
