Firefighters have managed to work on 80% of the perimeter of the wildfire in the Gavarres and are now focusing their efforts on extinguishing flare-ups appearing in several sectors.

The head of the operation indicated that dozens of flare-ups of varying intensity are occurring, especially in the first third of the left flank and the last third of the right flank. These fire reappearances, some showing smoke and others small flame runs, are being fought with aerial and ground resources to prevent the fire from spreading.
Despite progress in extinction efforts, officials have ruled out declaring the fire under control today. The fire's evolution is marked by the sea breeze, which has triggered hot spots as emergency teams had anticipated.

"We still need to dedicate many efforts to be able to declare it under control."

At the same time, the Rural Agents have reinforced surveillance in the massif, which remains closed to the public. Cyclists have been detected riding in the area despite restrictive signage. Currently, five patrols are deployed in the territory: three to control access, one supporting extinction efforts, and another dedicated to emergencies.
