The event, held at the Hockey and Skating Pavilion, highlighted Masgrau's contribution to the development of municipal sports policies, the improvement of facilities, and support for local entities over nearly four decades, starting in the mid-1980s.
The gala also paid tribute to the Bàsquet Club Palafrugell, celebrating its 50th anniversary and acknowledging its sporting and formative trajectory.
During the ceremony, around thirty awards were presented to outstanding athletes, coaches, teams, and organizations of the season. Special recognitions included those given to Adriana Vargas Suñer (cycling), Max Cruz Sánchez (karting), and Roger Fernández Reixach (handball).
Additionally, the Club Vela Calella, Club Tennis Llafranc, Club Nàutic Tamariu, and the cadet women's team of Futbol Club Palafrugell were honored for their sporting and organizational achievements. The work of coaches in hockey, basketball, football, tennis, paddle, and handball was also recognized.
The Sports Festival brought together the sports community of Palafrugell, celebrating the vitality and diversity of disciplines within the municipal sports scene.
