The Generalitat de Catalunya and the La Bisbal d'Empordà Town Council have signed two strategic agreements to minimize flood risks from the Daró River and transform urban mobility in Baix Empordà.

The first project focuses on protecting the town center from sudden rises in the Daró River. This phenomenon, intensified by climate change and more concentrated rainfall, requires urgent intervention to ensure the safety of residents in la Bisbal d'Empordà.

"The goal is to increase the safety of inhabited areas and reduce the risk of flooding in different points of the urban fabric."
