The Palafrugell Town Council has officially opened the 2027 Participatory Budgets process, allocating a total of 360,000 euros for projects chosen directly by the local community.

The funding is split into 300,000 euros for infrastructure investments and 60,000 euros for community services and activities. Residents and local associations have until the end of March to submit their ideas through the municipal website or in person at public offices.

"Participatory Budgets allow for direct decision-making on a portion of the budget."

Laura Millán · Mayor of Palafrugell
Individual investment projects are capped at 100,000 euros, while service-based proposals cannot exceed 20,000 euros. Following a technical feasibility review in the summer, a final public vote will take place in autumn 2026 for all registered residents aged 16 and over.
