The Palamós City Council has preventively closed Cal Carreviu Park and suspended the weekly clothing market due to strong winds recorded this Tuesday, to prevent the risk of falling trees and branches.

The measure was taken to ensure public safety in the face of intense wind gusts that have hit the municipality. The Municipal Brigade has cordoned off the park area to prevent access, and the prohibition will remain active as long as adverse weather conditions persist.
In addition to the park closure, the storm has had a direct impact on local commercial activity. The weekly clothing market has been completely suspended, while the food market was able to continue, albeit with a significant reduction in the number of stalls.
Municipal workers and contracted companies continue to work intensively on removing fallen trees and branches, as well as replacing damaged signs and other urban furniture elements. These actions follow those already carried out after the weekend's wind episode, when the municipality activated its civil protection plan and suspended various outdoor activities as a precaution.
