The Rumb(A)Palamós festival celebrates its thirteenth edition throughout July with five free concerts held in various locations across the coastal municipality.

Palamós is gearing up to host a new edition of the Rumb(A)Palamós festival, an event dedicated to Catalan rumba that is now in its thirteenth year. Throughout July, every Friday, the town will offer five concerts with free admission at different venues.
The musical program will kick off on July 3rd at Catalunya Square with a performance by Rumb(A)nd Palamós, the band associated with the festival. A week later, on July 10th, Pep Lladó will take the stage at the permanent venue on the seafront promenade. On July 17th, the agora space on the same promenade will host the concert by Ketekalles, a group notable for being composed entirely of women and for its musical fusion.
To mark International Rumba Day on July 24th, Los Vecinos de Manué will perform at Catalunya Square. The festival will conclude on July 31st with a concert by Piratas Rumbversions on the seafront promenade. All concerts are scheduled to begin at ten in the evening.
Beyond the music, the festival maintains its commitment to artistic quality and environmental sustainability. Rumb(A)Palamós solidifies its position as the first festival on the Costa Brava exclusively dedicated to Catalan rumba, utilizing equipment powered by solar and renewable energy to minimize its environmental impact.
The organization also emphasizes promoting diverse programming and encouraging female presence in a musical genre traditionally dominated by men. This event is organized by the Culture Area of the Palamós Town Council, with support from the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Provincial Council of Girona.
