The event, held in the Guíxols Arena marquee, included a communal lunch and various activities designed for attendees. These included the presentation of gifts by local authorities and the opportunity to take a commemorative photograph.
Coinciding with the approaching Diada de Sant Jordi, participants received a book and a rose, adding a special touch to the gathering. The day continued with a festive atmosphere, culminating in a dance with live music in the afternoon.
This festival marked the end of a week entirely dedicated to the town's senior citizens, which featured various prior activities, such as Olympics with prize ceremonies.
“"The City Council emphasizes the importance of these initiatives to foster the participation and well-being of this group, as well as to strengthen social ties within the municipality."
The program of events for senior citizens will continue next month with a tribute at the Teatre Municipal, dedicated to those over ninety years old in recognition of their life's journey. With these proposals, Sant Feliu de Guíxols reaffirms its commitment to promoting coexistence and active participation among this segment of the population.
