Sant Feliu de Guíxols will become the capital of stories this weekend with the celebration of its eleventh Explica’m Storytelling Fair, offering over 25 activities for all audiences.

The fair, taking place from Friday to Sunday, will fill streets, squares, and municipal facilities with proposals focused on oral narration, reading, theater, and games. The aim is to bring the world of stories closer to the public and transform Sant Feliu de Guíxols into a major cultural stage.
The official inauguration will be on Friday with the itinerant show La llebre i la tortuga (The Hare and the Tortoise), which will tour the city center from plaça del Monestir to the passeig del Mar.
Saturday will concentrate a significant part of the program. The Rambla will host the fair throughout the day, featuring stalls selling books, illustrators, and crafts related to the world of stories. Workshops, book signings, and family activities will also take place.
Among the highlights will be the play area Món de contes (World of Stories), street performances, oral storytelling sessions, and participatory activities. The program also includes a new edition of the Trobada Gegantera Ganxona, with a parade through the city streets.
Author Martí Gironell will present the story Un talp al país dels samurais (A Mole in the Land of the Samurai), accompanied by illustrator Coaner Codina. Saturday will conclude with street performances and a special adult storytelling session titled Contes per anar al llit o no (Stories to go to bed with, or not).
On Sunday, the program will continue with workshops, intercultural readings, inclusive activities, and family shows at the Mercat Cobert (Covered Market) and Parc Central.
The Explica’m Storytelling Fair has established itself as one of the most significant family cultural events in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, promoting reading, creativity, and citizen participation through literature and performing arts.
