Around eighty workers from the Baix Empordà County Council gathered this Friday in la Bisbal d'Empordà to condemn a physical assault against a Social Services professional.

The protesters warned that such incidents are becoming increasingly common, threatening the integrity of an essential public service. They are calling for social workers to be legally recognized as agents of authority, similar to healthcare staff, teachers, and police officers.

"No professional should suffer aggression, threats, or violence because of their work."
