By three in the afternoon, the 112 emergency service had recorded a total of 875 calls, with 76.6% originating from the Girona province. These calls generated 596 reports for incidents caused by strong winds. The Baix Empordà region was the most affected, with 289 calls (36.65% of the total), despite not being under a red alert. The towns with the most alerts were Castell-Platja d'Aro (63), Palamós (58), and Calonge i Sant Antoni (57).
Other Girona regions with a significant number of calls include Alt Empordà (118), Gironès (88), and Selva (79). Outside the Girona region, Berguedà recorded 70 calls. Regarding municipalities, Lloret de Mar (40), Girona (38), and Berga (35) also exceeded thirty alerts.
The Generalitat Firefighters reported 506 alerts received between yesterday evening and today at noon, with 75% (381) concentrated in the Girona region. The most common incidents were fallen trees, roof elements, and problems with the electrical grid. In Vall-llobrega, Palamós, and Calonge, parts of roofs and solar panels damaged parked cars. In Sant Jordi Desvalls, fallen power poles caused an electricity outage, and in L'Escala, a small forest fire required the intervention of six Firefighter units.
The municipality of Molló, in Ripollès, experienced an interruption of electricity supply and mobile coverage problems for several hours. According to Mayor Pep Coma, the most probable cause is a fallen tree on the power line, which would have caused a fire. Coma expressed concern about the neglect they suffer from companies and the Generalitat, recalling that they were already without service fifteen days ago.
“"The main hypothesis is that a fallen tree on the power line caused a fire and the interruption of service."
