The 2026 edition of the ÍTACA Festival will kick off on Saturday, April 4, at Riells Beach in L'Escala with La Santa Gresca, the free festive prologue to Easter Week, featuring performances by Mama Dousha, Malifeta, and DJ Trapella.
The geographical growth includes the incorporation of new spaces such as Ca la Pruna in Pals, the Church Square in L'Estartit, and the Palau de Fires in Girona. The Palau de Fires will host Morad's only concert in Catalonia on Friday, May 8, with popular ticket prices.
“"It is important to program an artist who is often controversial, as he connects with the young audience and the urban scene."
The Sant Joan celebration at L'Estartit's Platja Gran will be a major focal point, offering three days of live music. Highlights include Love of Lesbian, Sidonie, La M.O.D.A., La Ludwig Band, and 31 FAM between June 19 and 23.
The festival maintains its commitment to local culture with intimate concerts in Empordà municipalities, such as Joan Miquel Oliver's (founding member of Antònia Font) performance at Ca la Pruna in Pals on May 23, and Mazoni in Ullastret on May 29. The itinerant artistic structure, the Cavall de Troia, will also tour the event.
The closing ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 5, in Calella de Palafrugell, where Els Amics de les Arts will celebrate their 20th anniversary at Port Bo Beach. The event also includes critical thought spaces, such as a conference with photojournalist Jordi Borràs in Girona.
