The incident was registered at 1:00 AM this Wednesday on the Ronda dels Països Catalans in Torroella de Montgrí. The fire reached a considerable intensity, affecting several cars parked on the public road.
Two units from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Fire Department) quickly deployed to the scene to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to other properties. Unfortunately, two of the parked vehicles were completely destroyed by the fire.
Two vehicles were completely burned and two others were damaged by the heat due to the intensity of the flames.
Due to the high temperatures generated by the blaze, two other cars that were parked outdoors near the source of the fire suffered significant damage to the bodywork and plastic elements from the radiant heat.
Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported in the incident. The Local Police of Torroella de Montgrí has taken charge of the investigation to determine the exact causes that started the fire.
