The Ca n’Amat avenue, known as the SEAT straight, will remain partially closed in the direction of the highway. This situation is due to an incident in the water network of the municipality of Abrera, specifically near the CUPRA roundabout.
According to the Abrera City Council, it is estimated that the road could be reopened within three to four weeks. This partial closure, starting from Sant Esteve, will persist even though the pavement repair works carried out by SEAT are scheduled to finish on October 3rd, as planned. Only some work on the roundabouts will remain, which should not affect traffic flow.
This traffic interruption also impacts the schedule for the asphalting works planned by the Sant Esteve City Council on Edison street, located in the Ca n’Estella industrial estate. These works have already been awarded and will commence once traffic is restored on the straight.
Additionally, in November, the construction of a new roundabout between Edison street and de les Masies street is planned. The objective of this new infrastructure is to improve road safety in the area.
